Role Title: Relationship Director, Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT)

Location: London

What will you be doing:

  • Managing a spread portfolio of large, complex and strategically important customer relationships, maximising sustainable income and client profitability through providing excellent service and becoming recognised as a trusted partner
  • Actively maintain a pipeline of prospects and build close relationships with targets to ensure portfolio development
  • Ensure effective risk management across the portfolio and work as a cohesive team with specialist managers carrying out financial, regulatory and control environment due diligence reviews for your portfolio ensuring compliance with all Barclays and CB Risk policies and procedure
  • Work as part of a wider Barclays team to seek, share and embed best practice both regionally and across the group, take part in team and sector meetings.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders across different areas of the Bank including but not limited to Financial Crime, Compliance, Operations, Cash Management, FX, Debt Finance, Barclaycard, Investment Bank and Client Servicing as well as to have ability to bring together stakeholders and work effectively under the Power of One Barclays lens.
  • Be a recognised Banker within the TMT sector via LinkedIn, events, thought leadership and client base.

What we’re looking for:

  • An understanding of regulatory and financial crime risk and the jobholder will be required to demonstrate well-developed risk judgment and understanding of Barclays Risk Management Framework.
  • Confident and professional personal and written skills and a developed client presence with the ability to call, meet and negotiate with senior leaders within clients and advisors as the lead point of contact.
  • Advanced working knowledge of corporate banking products and services including those linked to cash management, card payments, trade & working capital and FX solutions being particularly relevant to the role.
  • Credit skills and debt finance – has risk accreditation L2 at a minimum and/or can demonstrate relevant debt request appraisal and recommendation.
  • Business development and account management skills and account planning experience.
