Key job responsibilities

As a Telco Partner Sales Manager focused on a large Strategic European AWS Telco customer, you will be responsible for growing our partner-led opportunities in network transformation and increasing our capabilities with the Telco in the Enterprise market segments through strategic partner engagements and indirect sales. You will have the exciting opportunity to help create and execute your partner strategy to build mind share and adoption of Amazon’s 200+ services (Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Sagemaker, etc…). Being part of the EMEA Telco Partner Sales Team means being customer obsessed about our Telco customers, build mind share and giving you exciting opportunities to create and drive adoption through AWS Partners. You will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in the Telco and AWS Partner network and work in a collaborative way with AWS Partner Development Managers and AWS Account Managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Background in the Telecom industry and with integrating Partner capabilities in the sales Go-To-Market (GTM) through experience working for a large Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and/or Global System Integrator (GSI)
  • Experience with Telco Partner sales, business development activities or direct sales experience with Network driven engagement or building Joint GTM models with the Telco for Enterprise value propositions (B2B)
  • Understanding of transformation needs in the Telecom industry through IoT, MEC, 5G, OSS-BSS, AI/ML, Private 5G GTM models and / or considerable experience developing and executing joint GTM plans with the Telco to drive B2B revenue in specific industry verticals
  • Experience developing detailed Partner plans and executing against agreed sales goals and measurable targets
  • Experience setting up complex governance models in multi-party engagements and measuring progress against agreed outcomes, objectives and key performance metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence decision makers to drive strategic engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience working in Telecommunications industry in a sales, business development or partner sales role
  • 5+ years’ experience working with ISVs, GSIs or in a Tier-1 Telco driving strong customer outcomes and new revenue growth projects as a product manager with P&L responsibility
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to internal and external organizations across functional domains
  • Being data-driven and ability to work through ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English & German
  • Preferred location: Koln, Dusseldorf, Bonn
