Kforce has a client in Hyannis, MA that is seeking a Telecom Engineer to work onsite 2-3 times a week.Responsibilities:

The Telecom Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operational stability of the Unified Communications infrastructure as well as planning, implementation, MACDs and end-user support.

The correct candidate will research and provide recommendations regarding emerging collaboration and communication technologies
-
Serve as technical lead on projects and provide technical guidance to other IT staff.

Participate in the on-call rotation.

The Telecom Engineer will work as a member of a team and be able to function solo as required.

CCNA or CCNP certification preferred
-
8 years hands on experience planning, designing, and implementing Cisco’s Unified Communications product line, including Unified Communications Manager, Unity/Unity Connection, Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco Emergency Responder
-
Thorough understanding of voice and video protocols to include SIP, H323, MGCP & SCCP

Experience with Cisco video endpoints and integrating them with 3rd party meeting platforms through Cisco’s Interop platform

Experience working with vendors on system installations as well as software and hardware upgrades

Knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, DHCP and QoS
-
Expertise using Cisco tools to develop a project Bill of Materials, including proper software licensing

Any Virtualization Product such as Hyper-V, VMware (preferred) or similar product a definite plus
-
Excellent interpersonal and client facing skills
-
Ability to adapt work habits to a specified methodology
-
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
