Telecom Field Technician

Position: Field Technician

Cannon Companies is looking for qualified applicants to join our team as a Field Technician. Our Field Technicians work closely with Project Managers and designers to gather information from project locations to aid in the acquisition of construction permits. Our company is striving to offer more to our customers from engineering, designing, planning and implementation of a project. Our Field Technicians are instrumental in supporting these goals. This is an entry level position starting at $22/hr.

Essential Requirements:

• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs above your head without assistance.
• Enjoy being outside and able to tolerate different weather conditions.
• Proficient on computers and comfortable navigating server directories
• Be willing to learn
• Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated
• Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve
• Be organized and have a strong attention to detail
• Have a current valid Driver’s License
• Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check

Primary Responsibilities:

• Travel to and from jobs sites to gather information for permit submittals.
• Preform basic survey or ROW and existing utility infrastructure.
• Identify and document obstacles and equipment out in the field for review.
• Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment

Beneficial Skills:

• Telecom knowledge and/or certifications are a HUGE plus
• Ability to read and understand complex utility maps
• Knowledge of NESC standards

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Must have 2 valid forms of ID (driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate, passport), we use E-verify to check your right to work in the US.
