2) Candidates must be comfortable working on Construction or Outside Plant (OSP) job sites including crawl spaces, trenching, etc.
3) Candidates must be punctual, able to follow direction, and willing to learn new skills within Telecommunications field work

Job Description:
ONE YEAR W2 CONTRACT-TO-HIRE
Traveling to designated job site with Lead Technician
Working in teams of 2
Basic Hand Tools (screwdrivers, drills, etc.)
Drug Test & Background Check
TEKsystems customer is one of the largest Telecommunication Vendors/Service Providers in DMV and has a large present across the East Coast. They provide full turnkey solutions for both wireless and wireline sectors. Their wireless sectors are split up into a few groups, but ultimately support the major carriers (TMO, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Dish Network, and Crown Castle). They also perform work for the States and Government directly.
These “Telecom Helpers” will receive great exposure to not only the telecommunications industry, but cutting edge 5G technology. The Helpers will be responsible for supporting the outside plant construction crews (this one will specifically be aligned to the electrical department and aim to take that path) in their day-to-day activities. Some of these include cable/conduit runs, equipment handling, inventory, mounting equipment, hanging strand, etc. Overall, needs to be the Lead Technician’s “Right Hand” and help the project become completed on-time. They will be meeting at shop or park & ride and jumping in company truck with Lead Tech.
