TeraSpan Networks Inc is a full-service telecommunications contractor with locations throughout British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for both experienced and apprentice LINEMEN to join our team.
At TeraSpan, you will be a key member of a network deployment and maintenance team and you have opportunities for training in all facets of telecommunications network construction. At TeraSpan you are not a production type employee, you are a part of a full-service team, and you are critical to the success of the organization.
Primary responsibilities of the line construction team are as follows:
- Pole line construction – installation of messenger strand, anchors, guy lines and poles
- Cable placement – aerial and underground telecommunications cable installation (copper and fiber)
- Wrecking – removal of existing cable, strand, anchors and poles
Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following (please mention when applying):
- 3 years of line construction experience·
- Spur pole climbing experience
- Class 3 license, air brakes and/or heavy trailer endorsement
Required qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Clean 5 drivers license
- Ability to lift 60lbs
- Ability to work at heights and ability or willingness to learn to climb poles with spurs
- Ability to travel within BC as required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $42,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
