Job Description:

Convirza is looking for talented, capable, and energetic people to help us grow at this important time in our development. To help us achieve our planned growth, we are looking for a Porting Specialist. This position would be responsible for the service delivery of number porting for new and existing customers. Creates and processes local service requests (LSR). Coordinates and monitors order progress with other carriers and maintain carrier relations. Processes orders using carrier portals and gathers Customer Service Records (CSR) including Letters of Authorization (LOA). Coordinates order activities internally and with carriers. Porting Specialist directive is to provide a quality customer service experience in a timely manner.

The Porting Specialist will be responsible for managing toll-free number (TFN) Resporg inventory and DIDs inventory for customer-facing portals through the entire lifecycle of a TFN/DID. Tasks will include processing both port ins and port outs of TFNs/DIDs, analysis of existing inventory levels, procurement of new inventory, migrations, audits, and occasional special projects.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Creates and processes all port-ins for new and existing customers accurately and timely
  • Processes all port outs received from other external carriers
  • Utilizes various third-party web-based interfaces for order placement, tracking and communication purposes like Somos as an example.
  • Serves as contact between our company and other external carriers related to porting
  • Responsible for handling local number porting escalations with underlying carriers as needed
  • Troubleshooting with Vendor(s) for service-impacting issues
  • Ensure supplemental request(s) are properly handled internally and externally
  • Responsible for coordinating with internal resources as required for port completion
  • Responsible for the timely processing of orders requesting to RespOrg toll-free number(s), activating new toll-free number(s), and changes to existing or disconnecting existing toll-free number(s).
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of work and proper notations via Hubspot
  • Responsible for updating the progress of orders with our billing and service teams
  • Safely performs all necessary job functions with accuracy and precision
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years phone and email telecom experience preferred..
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly accurate
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving, documentation skills, resolving conflict, analyzing information, critical thinking, time management, organized, troubleshooting skills
  • Must have excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must have skills in oral/written communications, prioritizing/completing multiple projects, and identifying problems and resolutions
  • Must be able to communicate with carriers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to work both independently and with others, able to effectively function as a team player
  • Must be willing to help in other areas if needed to achieve customer’s needs.
  • Knowledge of company products and services
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of how to operate various office equipment such as personal computer, pdf, copier, fax, and telephone systems
  • Knowledge of general software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.04 – $31.24 per hour
