Telecom Product Owner

12 month contract

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Work closely with the Product Owner and drive various initiatives as directed
• Build, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders – including the senior leadership team
• Manage the planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (reviews of prior Huddles, grooming, retrospectives, etc.)
• Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needs
• Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future development
• Write detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
• Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
• Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders

Required/Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• In addition to required degree, 2 years minimum of related work experience
• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years minimum of related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 5 years minimum related work experience

Desired Qualifications

• In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience
• Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you have the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals.
• 7 or more years working in the utility industry
• Agile Product Owner certification
• Experience with Jira

Working Conditions

• Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 – $43.00 per hour
