TELECOM PROJECT MANAGER
We are seeking a senior commissioning and start-up professional to join us as a Commissioning Start Up Telecommunication Lead.
The Commissioning team is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and operation of the facility to achieve the plant’s production and performance objectives.
The following is an overview of the requirements for the position:
- Will be required to produce testing procedures for telecoms related instrument control loops and equipment packages for approval by the Client team.
- Support the preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers and then once at site will be required to monitor the completion of those dossiers, ensuring necessary documentation is included such as ITRs, certificates, Red-Line Mark-Ups, punch status etc.
- Identify required resources for testing (Labor and materials), organize test teams and establish completion priorities.
- Will be responsible for overseeing the testing of all communication systems including engagement with various Telecom System Integrators and the main ICSS system supplier.
- Hands on expertise for the Pre-Commissioning and CSU of telecoms equipment and system design verification such as: UHF / VHF radio, IP Networks, Security (Access Control, CCTV Networks, Intrusion Detection Systems) public/emergency announcement (PAGA), and networks (WANs, LANs, Industrial Wireless Networks Wiring, Routers, Switches, Servers etc), ship/shore communication systems, Hazardous Area requirements (EExd, EEi, EExe)
- Will need to be proficient in large scale Fibre Optic cabling networks, copper cabling networks and associated infrastructure.
- Instruct & direct Telecommunications technicians to accomplish systems checks required to handover the various systems and sub-systems for the project to enable Substantial Completion / RFSU. This will include ensuring that Co-Console electronic recording is correctly completed and that the Clients representatives approve sign-off.
- Assist with and participate in completion system walkdowns on site with a multi-disciplined team.
- Participate in regular progress and co-ordination meetings with the Client.
- Produce an action plan and follow-up for the effective sign off of field generated punch lists.
- Produce daily risk assessments and permits for all site-based Pre-Commissioning and CSU activities.
Education and Experience.
- Previous experience of 10+ years in large Oil and Gas facilities is a requirement.
- Must have recent experience of a large Scale ICSS interfacing to multiple package equipment vendors.
- Experience with Honeywell and Power Management Systems an advantage.
- Demonstratable computer skills using MS Office. Ability to access databases, extract data and create reports.

Pay: $60.00 – $85.00 per hour
