FULLY REMOTE SENIOR TELECOM PROJECT MANAGER

Role Overview:
The Special Projects PM will work in the InBuilding Venue Program Management Office (IBV PMO) as an In-Building project manager managing a variety of special projects to implement 4G and 5G at 3rd party partner locations and to drive back end projects to provide Dark Fiber and software updates to existing locations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to participating and representing IBV on monthly market sync-up meetings, facilitating conversations on a weekly and bi-weekly basis with IBV and local market engineering teams and driving project updates and providing high-level program views for management and executive review.

• Daily oversight/project management of IBV PMO Special Projects (4G, 5G).
• PM will build and maintain collaborative relationships across business units including the market based network teams, IBV Engineering, Network Assurance, vendors and peer project managers as well as other internal partner organizations.
• Must be an expert in creating timelines, keeping projects on track, identifying potential risk and mitigating impact to timelines by working with all of the appropriate internal Network organizations.

Must Have:
Excellent communication skills setting clear direction for process, standards and roles/responsibilities.

• Ability to summarize lower level details to an executive format using clear, concise language that highlights the key messages and take-aways. This includes summarizing issues, accomplishments, and priorities of the program

Ability to raise escalations when needed and drive resolution

• Excellent facilitation skills to manage project meetings.

Qualifications

• Previous project management experience required
• Associates degree in Engineering, Management, or related field. Bachelors preferred.
• 5+ years experience managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
• Former wireless carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) or equipment OEM (Nokia, Ericsson, etc.) experience a HUGE plus
• 5 years experience in Telecommunications networks
• Highly motivated team player who can make independent decisions
• Must be comfortable as a self-starter in a dynamic technical environment
• Synthesize information, show correlations and draw conclusions, enabling formation of plans and expectations
