Our Client, a Fortune-50 telecom, tv and internet provider, has 3 openings for Planning & Design Engineers.
This is a long-term contract position that will be extended through 2023.
The position is remote, candidates living in the eastern time zone are preferred. Schedule would be M-F 8am-4:30pm ET.
Pay range would be $31-35/hr on W2.
This position will focus in performing QC on Fiber and Coax designs. Projects will involve business design for new construction (node splits, comm/residential, hyper builds, build designs for fiber/coax) as well as bringing fiber closer to existing customer’s homes. Will work within Spatialnet and AutoCAD. Any experience with SalesForce is a plus.
Job Description:
- Consultant will be responsible for updating databases as needed for tracking the acceptance of a job, the issuance of a design to a business partner (field) and if applicable tracking the receipt of the fielding, desktop QC of the fielding, and issuance to another business partner (design).
- Project cost, and or task cost estimating based on NDEA contracted rates.
- Updating and reserving wavelengths for Fiber designs.
- QC HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) and Fiber design and SNET for Client specifications and SNET(South New England Telephone) quality drafting standards.
- QC business partner invoices to progress invoicing to Client manager approval.
- Perform other HFC/Fiber duties not limited to HFC/Fiber design related.
