CEI’s Fortune 50 client is a world-leader in Communications and Media, and their team in Norcross is adding a new Telecom Quality Control Design Specialist.
*Candidates must be currently local to the Norcross/Atlanta, GA area*
This is a long-term W2 Hourly contract with pay ranging $24-$27.50 + benefits offered (health, vision, dental, 401K)
This is a Hybrid position that will need to be onsite for first 30-90 days, 3 days a week, then transition to work from home.
Schedule is M-F 8am-5pm, 2 breaks and lunch, no overtime.
Seeking candidates experienced with Salesforce, MS Excel, and reading fiber/coax design documents.
In this role, you will be reviewing Fiber and Coax design requests for approval and move them along in the system (Salesforce based).
Summary
The Telecom Quality Control Design Specialist will support activity ensuring all assigned jobs are vetted and outsourced for design completion. They will ensure a percentage of QC on all completed design. They will ensure SLA and design forecasts for weekly and monthly deliverables to construction are met.
Responsible for construction coordination and the planning and designing of broadband communication systems. Works with project team to design systems and determine project specifications. Creates construction jobs, ensures proper documentation available to proceed, assesses nearby jobs for synergies, conducts point to point design and reserves wavelengths and is tightly aligned with the network plan group to ensure builds are holistic.
Core Responsibilities
- Assists with project status to ensure progress toward completion and required procedural steps are completed fully and in a timely manner.
- Creates construction jobs from a variety of intake sources. Validates documentation and information available to proceed. Where needed, obtains additional information to move the job forward.
- Leverages Plan tools to assess nearby jobs for integration.
- Participates in the design of broadband communication systems using various design software packages. Prepares special keys, charts, diagrams, and graphic drawings for use by other departments. Updates and maintains system maps, keys, and design files. Tracks and keeps current system spreadsheets and documents.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years related experience in fiber and coax networks
