Telecom rigger

The position of telecommunication tower technician involves the installation, reparation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment. The work can be carried out in towers, on rooftop or inside industrial and commercial buildings. The telecommunication aerial technician works constantly as a team and could be called upon to travel throughout Ontario or other provinces (and possibility to locate at one our three locations) .

Responsibilities:

Our telecommunication tower technician performs some or all of the following duties:

• Installation of line and antenna;
• Installation of microwave link;
• Installation and maintenance of indoor wireless networks;
• Installation of optical fiber cabling;
• Addition of equipment to an existing structure or dismantling of equipment or structure;
• Assemble, erect and perform maintenance on telecommunications towers;
• Optical fiber (replacement and / or installation, verification);
• Installation, maintenance and reparation of telecommunications equipment;
• Other work relating to company operations.
• Training available and provided by the company

Experience and skills required:

• Excellent physical condition and good skills for manual work;
• Ability to work at height (from 0 to 200 meters);
• Ability to work in various climatic conditions both in summer and in winter;
• Autonomy, methodical and proactive;
• Great ease of adaptation and teamwork;
• High mobility to carry out projects throughout Ontario;
• Wireless rigging experience prefered but not required;
• Training provided by the company.

Education required :

• Working at height certification (Training available and provided by the company);
