Telecom Sales Representative (Hosted VoIP)

Position Description:

We are currently recruiting for a B2B Telecommunications Sales Representative that will be responsible for successfully selling our companies Hosted VoIP telecom services while meeting company sales goals.

Duties will include generating leads, setting appointments, gathering site and business need information, accessing potential clients needs and then determining how our company can help their business operate more efficiently. Then following up by demonstrating our services, preparing and presenting proposals and then negotiating contracts with potential clients.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, knowledge of Business Telecom Products like Phone Systems, Cloud Computing, Internet Access, Wide Area Networks, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in telecommunication or information technology sales is a must.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Generating leads through networking and other means of strategic business development.
  • Work inside sales leads that are assigned from internal sources.
  • Understanding and promoting company portfolio of products.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Obtaining and understanding client requirements and knowing the best products to recommend.
  • Giving sales demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Answering client questions about products, prices and availability.
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
  • Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years, recent telecommunications sales experience
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers, potential customers and referral partners.
  • Competency in Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation, current driver’s license & auto insurance
  • Associates degree or higher in business, marketing, computer science or related field is preferred but not required.

Compensation Summary:

  • Compensation is $82,000 +/-
  • Base = $52,000, Commission = $30,000 +
  • Position is full time
  • Includes a full benefits package
