Job description:
As telecom service installer you will delight customers by connecting properties to light speed fiber optic broadband networks. Under minimal supervision, perform scheduled service installs, working both inside and outside of properties. Every day will be different working in a dynamic, safety-first environment. The ideal candidate embraces the freedom and responsibility to work independently, overcome obstacles, and be part of the hardest working team in telecom. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $20 to $28 per hour. Normal shifts may include working 8 or more hours and must be available to work overtime and occasionally weekends, evenings.
What you will do:
- Connect families and businesses to broadband internet
- Pre-wire fiber optic connections for service activation
- Install new service equipment, activate connections, and provide customer education
- Perform service calls for existing accounts to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade fiber optic services
- Apply common sense, theory, and experience to identify and resolve problems, communicate effectively, and deliver exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Basic knowledge of telecom installation procedures including VoIP, POTS, cable, and data networks
- 1+ years of proven experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with (3) or more years of safe driving experience
- Embrace a drug-free workplace
- Successfully pass a background check

Location:
Telecom Service Installer is a field position with regularly scheduled appointments, interacting with residential and business customers.
