Responsibilities and Duties
Work with the OSP design team and make field visits as needed to survey existing Telecom (fiber and copper) structures, measures distances, the right of way and surroundings to prepare for new design. Take field notes, make clear hand sketches etc. Identifying all conflicts in the right of ways, work with the city and TxDOT utility teams, OSP CAD design teams, and permit team for the projects.
Candidate should be able to read TxDOT and city provided civil construction CAD prints, old record prints, and able to interpret the telecom new design and relocation requirement plans. Should be able to coordinate and interface with customers, utility company personnel for electric, gas, water, sewer, etc. conflicts. Attend all utility and project meetings as needed.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 year of site walk and survey
- CAD understanding and experience required
- Microsoft Office, (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience required
- CAD drafting experience preferred
- Telecom Lineman, OSP experience or telecom construction/engineering experience is preferred!!!
- Experience in google earth, KMZ files, other survey tools are preferred!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
