*Telecom Specialist position is preferred locally, but potentially can be remote.
Responsibilities and Duties
·Responsible for Tier I/Preferably Tier II support for our customers
· Telecom Specialist will support the Telco team and work with telecommunications industry vendors/partners to order products or services as part of service delivery
· Critical job duties include examining and processing orders, tracking deliveries and performing data organization and entry tasks required to monitor and communicate progress of orders while collaborating with technical teams to solve problems as quickly as possible
· Write, submit, process and coordinate all provisioning related documents (Telecom Service Orders-TSO/PONs, Supplements, LOA/CFAs, DLRs, CANs and Access Carrier Reports, etc.) to/from all carriers as required
· Collaborate with Telco engineering and field management personnel to ensure access/transport circuits are delivered in accordance with expected delivery intervals
· Provide and maintain regular circuit status within implementation databases/software tools while communicating with engineering and field management supporting on-time delivery of orders
· Provide support as needed to service delivery team during acceptance testing and turn-up of services
· Contribute to continued development of new and existing procedures supporting ordering, provisioning and delivery of telecommunications products and services
· Provide data analysis of existing and ordered circuit inventories ensuring data integrity and accuracy
· Ability to understand, analyze and explain Telco USOCs on CSRs
· Build inventory records in our CRM utilizing CSRs
· Hands-on experience with ASRs
· Interconnection
· CABS experience a plus
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience in the field or in a related area.
· Expert knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes
· Background in managing and ordering legacy telco products including; POTS, PBX, DSL, ISDN BRI and PRI, MPLS, SONET, DS1, DS3, Digitally Trunked T1, and Centrex
· Strong knowledge of LEC/CLEC & IXC connectivity and infrastructure
· Strong knowledge of all MS Office suites
· Strong data analytical background, identifying patterns, determining root causes
· Strong communications and organization skills
· Strong process oriented
· Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
