General Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this person is responsible for all new and existing store related voice and data communication services and order processing. Additionally, Generates telecom installation reports related to all voice communication service activities by store. Additionally, this position will act as backup voicemail administrator. Overseas contract Retail Telecom team members.
Dutities & Responsibilities:
§ Respond to store requests regarding all voice and data related equipment and services; orders and coordinates the installation and implementation of voice/data equipment and services (main phone lines, 1-700 MAXLine, VSAT equipment) for new, relocating and existing stores; support stores with troubleshooting suggestions, while supervising contract Retail Telecom team.
§ Monitors on-site installation schedule of phone company technicians through web page verification and follow-up phone calls or e-mails. Research repeat issues and escalate to phone company’s account executive for resolution.
§ Administers calling cards (activation and termination) and provides training on usage.
§ Creates and maintains field voicemail boxes and field group boxes upon request.
§ Administers conferencing cards (activation and termination) and provides training on usage.
§ Acts as backup voicemail administrator for SSC and DC users.
§ Provide back-up support to Telecomm Analyst with invoice and payment processing.
§ Generates telecom installation reports and distributes reports related to store voice communications activity to departments outside of Telecommunications.
§ Assists Telecomm Team Leader and Sr. Telecomm Manager with project research, documentation and presentation.
§ Assists Telecomm Network Engineer with call record database collection and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
§ Ability to work with little or no supervision.
§ Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; AS-400
§ Effective problem solving skills
§ Knowledge of order placement and troubleshooting practices with line carriers
§ Highly organized and advanced office skills
§ Ability to manage multiple projects, often with conflicting time constraints
§ Strong oral and written communication skills
Work Experience &/or Education:
High school education or equivalent required. At least 1-2 years of related experience preferred, with basic telecommunications knowledge and training required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
