Northern Communication
Job Summary – Successful Candidate must reside in Yellowknife Northwest Territories, relocation is expected if not a current resident.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of satellite internet and TV hardware
- Installation of electronics and antenna hardware
- Installation of data, fiber, and RF cabling
- Two way radio installation and programing
- Various IT related service work
- Security and alarm system installation and support
- Work with standard hand tools for basic carpentry and construction
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Travel to remote locations with flexible schedule
Skills and Qualifications:
- Applicant must be bondable with a current criminal records check completed
- A valid driver license with clean record is expected
- Applicant must be comfortable working at heights, on an elevated work platform and on ladders
- Working alone and efficient problem solving abilities are a expected
- Experience with basic construction and building techniques is a benefit
- Safety certification and/or training
- Basic understanding of IT networking configuration and installation
- Experience with Microsoft office 365 product suit
- Experience with time management and documentation systems
- Some work will require a physical component including lifting and transporting heavy equipment. Installations are often outdoors throughout.
- Physical fitness is a requirement of the position
- Written and verbal communications is very important, and a proven track record for customer interaction is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
