Job Description:
The Traffic Control Drafter will utilize AutoCAD to prepare site specific traffic control drawings/plans while allowing the flow of traffic through a controlled work area or defined geographic location. This position requires communication of project timelines, progress, and routine status updates with project leads and managers to ensure deadlines are met. A knowledge of various city jurisdictions and ordinances will be of great benefit. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or newer is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting-1 year experience (Required)
- Knowledge of California MUTCD Best Practices (preferred)
- Proficiency in the following supplemental programs: Microsoft Word/Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth
- Ability to work in a team setting or be self-motivated
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize the workload
- Ability to communicate effectively-oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines- some overtime could be required
