Telecom/VoIP Engineer

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing Phone and SIP services across the infrastructure. You will be a member of our core engineering team with opportunities to advance in your career. This will be a contract to permanent opportunity with the expectation to be onsite for the foreseeable future.

Configure, implement and support Microsoft Teams VOIP Phone system and services (If not MS Teams feels like Cisco, Mitel, and ShoreTel skills would suffice)

Experience with modern SIP and related telecommunications.

Very good understanding and knowledge of the Unified Calling system (i.e. Call manager, Mitel, Teams etc.) and application-level operations

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, for a related field desired
• 4+ years of experience with modern SIP and related telecommunications.
• Configure, implement and support Microsoft Teams VOIP Phone system and services
• Maintain and constantly improve existing Telecommunication across the enterprise
• Determine bottlenecks in the current Phone Systems and suggest solutions to problems
• Participate in security management
• Use diagnostic tools to determine deficiencies
• Suggest and oversee improvement processes
• Very good understanding and knowledge of the Unified Calling system (i.e. Call manager, Mitel, Teams etc.) and application-level operations
• Cisco or Microsoft Certification is highly desirable
• Experience with and knowledge of the Cisco IOS operating system and PowerShell
• Experience in routing and switching with industry standards (Cisco, Velo, Meraki, Sonic Wall, FortiGate, etc.) is a plus
