STAAL Irrigation and Contracting is seeking additional permanent staff.

Summary

Install and repair telecommunications strand, anchors, down guys, copper cable & fiber optics. We are seeking responsible individuals who have a desire to learn and apply new skills. A candidate that will fit this position includes an individual that is able to climb ladders, poles and work from an aerial bucket truck. We offer competitive wages and benefits plan.

Duties

• Maintain tools or test equipment.
• Must have experience with doing physical labour outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
• Strong work ethic.
• Outside plant aerial construction and maintenance work experience.
• Fiber optic and copper cable lashing experience
• Bucket truck experience
• Ability to work at heights.
• Experienced in pole climbing
• Valid Ontario Class G License (AZ/DZ an asset)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• 8 – 10-hour shift
• Overtime

Experience:

• Telecommunications: 1 year (preferred)
• Heavy equipment/ construction equipment operating experience is an asset

Work remotely:

· Must be willing to work out of town across northwestern Ontario

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$26.00 per hour
