What we’re looking for:

• Experience installing and configuring Fiber and Copper technologies

• Experience provisioning and repairing voice, internet, TV, data lan/wan, public WiFi, T1, centrex, security systems and wholesale transport services.

• Experience with face to face customer interactions and working a loft on extension ladders

• Applicants with existing Government security clearance credentials and/or AB Security Installer Technician license will receive priority consideration

What you’ll be doing in this role:

• Working on ladders up to 32 feet aloft

• Able to lift 75 Lbs of materials to chest height

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a light duty commercial truck

• Running and dressing copper and fibre connections in Central Offices, Service Access Cross-Connections, Ready Access terminals, Fibre Distribution Hubs and Network Access Points

• Running and dressing copper and fiber service drops (aerial and/or buried) from distribution terminals to customer Demarcation at the service address

• Running and dressing copper and fiber ISW within the customer’s service address from the Demarcation to the client’s requested service termination location

• Installing security camera & sensors and configuration of access panels and monitoring protocols

• Configuring and testing the transport path as well as the data modems and STB’s in compliance with CNI’s award winning Quality Assurance M&Ps

• Remote accessing and performing real time data updates with job dispatch and customer care systems provided by CNI as well as those systems and databases supplied by CNI’s western telecom carrier client

• Strong pride in your work and quality and willingness to travel as required
