Telecommunications Aerial Fiber Construction

We are currently seeking able-bodied, skilled, motivated, and trustworthy individuals for Junior and Senior full-time Aerial Fiber Construction positions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a high school or equivalent degree
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record
• Candidates must have a personal vehicle and must maintain personal auto insurance at all times
• Lift up to 100lbs
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations
• Travel up to 2-3 weeks at a time
• Work mandatory overtime when required
• Work in all weather conditions
• Work inside and outside in varying conditions
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check and drug test

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Anchor and attach steel strand
• Hang fiber optic cables
• Lash fiber optic cables
• Bonding
• Understand separation and clearance regulations
• Must be able to climb utility poles and safely use ladders
• Utilize standard construction and telecommunications tools
• Set up and maintain safe work areas
• Direct traffic
• Inventory control
• Pole Transfers
• Candidate should be able and willing to perform Underground Construction or other duties outside of Aerial as required

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum one years experience in aerial fiber construction
• Telecommunications experience required
• Proficiency in fiber installation and pole transfers
• Hanging strand and fiber
• Lashing and grounding

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $25.00 per hour
