Job Summary
Provide telecommunications support to the department and campus community with analysis of system features, user needs, and available resources. Analyze and process telecommunications data related to carrier billing, carrier invoices, vendor feeds, web and systems interfaces, and voice mail system, and manage monthly billing cycles including general ledger (GL) processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and manage information in various databases for tracking expenses, user information, and other telecommunications records. Participate in purchasing process related to telecommunications and technology vendors for application and system upgrades.
- Manage monthly billing cycle tasks. Review charges for general fund, non-general fund, and auxiliary entities. Manage feed file processes including billing files going to General Ledger each month to apply in CFS.
- Conduct analysis and support to users in the selection, development, and use of telecommunication technologies provided by ITS, including management of mobile devices and services on a University-wide basis.
- Participate in telecom content management in ITKB, web, or TDX and submit change requests for updates. Update emergency documentation and procedures. Provide back up support to others.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of common tele management features and practices. Demonstrated skill with spreadsheets for further processing of data collected. Demonstrated self-organizational skills in order to ensure timely follow up and completion of tasks or projects. Skills related to Crystal reports for support of monthly billing reports. Skills related to database concepts and maintenance including imports; use of applications based on Oracle.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communications, or related technical field required.

The salary range for this classification is $3,470 to $6,681 per month.
