The Telecommunication Services group (NIE-TS) is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Analyst 3 to provide Telephone services to support the 30 Pits per Year initiative. Regular and swing-shift hours. NIE-TS manages telecommunication technologies and services, enabling science, research programs, and daily operations at LANL. Our group provides the entire Laboratory with voice, wireless, data, and video communication services. The selected candidate will be responsible for Telephone service and Tier 1 VoIP support to their assigned Technical Area. This support will include VoIP Call Center support, ticketing systems, and VoIP phone provisioning using VoIP administration applications.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated advanced experience provisioning and troubleshooting VoIP telephony
- Demonstrated competency using web-based administration applications to administer telephone systems
- Ability to work on projects alone or with other team members and groups
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, VoIP systems, and data networking systems
- Demonstrated strong communication skills to connect with customers, team members and personnel both internal and external to the organization.
Education/Experience: Position requires a minimum of 8 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience provisioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Call Centers
- Experience with Broadsoft and Zervina VoIP applications
- Experience with the WebCenter and COMIT application and database
- Demonstrated ability to manage frequent interruptions and changing priorities calmly; complete assignments without established procedures; be available, dependable, and punctual; and act as a facilitator when needed.
- Hands-on experience and general knowledge of data network technology and equipment.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including the demonstrated ability to independently interpret data and information to produce advanced Word documents, SharePoint libraries, and Excel spreadsheets.

Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement (partially onsite/partially offsite) from a location within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite will be periodically required. Hybrid is at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 – Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q(Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
- Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
