The purpose of this position is to provide daily support of telephone systems, peripheral equipment, voice subsystems, cabling infrastructure, and management of telecommunication, broadband providers for Publix Retail and Support facilities. This includes and is not limited to troubleshooting repairs, programming of telephones and voicemail systems, interfacing with equipment and cable suppliers regarding work requests, providing consultation services to customers to help support their business needs, and coordinating new stores, remodels and special projects for the all telecommunication environments. The position orders, and manages the implementation of all voice and data circuits, for new and existing Publix locations.
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Experience with vendor management
- Experience with project management principles
- must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and origination skills
- must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- understanding of telecommunication infrastructure/technology
- basic understanding of voice mail systems and sub-system applications
- basic understanding of overhead music systems and paging
- basic understanding of voice/data cabling infrastructure
- basic understanding of telecommunications industry and terms
- basic understanding of Windows Office applications skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
