The Telecommunications Analyst III is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of telecommunication systems and providing solutions for the telecommunications environment. Resolves complex telecommunications issues internally or with outside vendors. Lead formal review, analysis and recommendation process. Conduct feasibility studies and assist in the evaluation and selection of telecommunications equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least three years of experience providing software and hardware support for telecommunications systems OR Equivalent work-related experience and training might be substituted for a college degree.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist on special projects as directed by IT Management.
- Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, inventories of telecommunications infrastructure and systems. Working with Telecom and Network Teams, develop and maintain documentation of Operational Network Diagrams and Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Working with Vendors and User Community, analyst will be responsible for evaluating new network technologies to meet business needs and develop ROI to improve telephony processes with Business environment.
- Assist in the maintaining of the Wide Area Network infrastructure.
- Control operating costs by tracking and auditing telecommunications usage.
- Maintain vendor relationships for local/long distance, conferencing, and hardware providers.
- Review, coordinate, and perform telecommunication move, add, change, and repair activities.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve problems with the configuration and operation of telephones and VoIP systems.
- Stay abreast of advances in communication technologies along with changes in the Healthcare industry.
- Effectively lead problem-solving process to a satisfactory resolution.
- Analyzes telecommunication infrastructure requirements and make appropriate cost-effective design recommendations.
- Thorough understanding of telecommunications services including local, long distance and PBX/KEY system hardware, billing, etc. (POTS, Centrex, toll-free, VoIP, PRI, T1, TDM, IP addressing)
- Monitors the operations of telecommunications systems and services of vendors. Serves as technical specialist/lead on a functional basis, for the resolution of complex network problems.
- Install, test, adjust and troubleshoot equipment as necessary at all KidsPeace facilities.
- Evaluates, analyzes, administers and maintains voice, data and wireless communications

Schedule: Full Time, Primarily M-F with additional hours & weekends as needed
