The Telecom Analyst Lead provides technical leadership for network design and deployment activities. Reviews, analyzes, and maintains the clients wireless and wired communications system(s) as well as security system elements including cameras, perimeter intrusion alarming systems, as well as design and technical oversight of the clients Security Operations Center (SOC). Supports and guides the Install Technicians and Telecom Technicians, but does not have direct supervisory function. This is a full-time position which may contain an on-call component, working hours may vary depending upon job demand.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, analyzing, designing, operating, and maintaining the telecommunications and security system.
  • Development and implementation of the interconnectivity and security system(s).
  • Assist in designing and developing the system
  • Provide customer training of the system’s features and functionality, and help keep the system maintained and functioning over time.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Understanding of IT and IP networks, wireless technologies and vendor solutions, industry accepted methodologies of design, deployment, troubleshooting, and operations of a multitude of nodal devices on both transport layer as well as security layer of networks.
  • Knowledge, experience and skills in design, deployment, and testing of optical fiber management, wireless systems, telco management, wireline networking, and general telecommunications.
  • Electrical designs and installations knowledge and experience.
  • Examine data networks and decide the best ways to connect them based on the needs of an organization and their available resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree is preferred.
  • 4 years professional hands-on experience within a dynamic high-volume telecom / IT related industry.
  • Ideal candidate will possess practical diversified experience within the industry, providing them with a broad understanding of varying realms within the technical domain(s) of which they will be overseeing.
  • It is beneficial for the candidate to hold any of the industry certifications such as FCC GROL license, Honolulu county electricians license (codes: EJS, ESI, EJI, ES, or EJ), and/or electronics certification(s). The company will sponsor training necessary to obtain and maintain OSHA tower climbing safety certificate.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with a fast paced and performance-oriented environment.
  • This role also requires remote site field visits which may include lifting of equipment, tools, or other gear of at least 50 lbs. in weight
  • Role requires infrequent climbing and work from a ladder.
  • Frequently working on or with electrical system and components including AC, DC, PV, & Battery systems.
  • Frequency working on or around RF signals from VHF spectrum up to 85 GHz, and wavelength realms within range of 400 nm to 1.2 nm (SWIR, IR, Laser).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
