Telecommunications Analyst – Telecom Network Services

    Position Summary
      The Telecommunications Analyst role is the first level of a two level career path. Reporting to the Manager of Telecommunications Services, performs analysis and research of all telecommunication systems as they relate to billing data, tariff issues, business applications and technology developments in a multi-site telecommunications network environment. Provides assistance to and works independently on special projects within a multi-site environment related to technology enhancements to all telecommunication systems with emphasis on customer support and satisfaction. Provides leadership skills necessary to deliver larger and more complex projects according to project schedules and budgets. Controls departmental expenditures through detailed cost analysis for all new and existing systems, including all budget preparation for new construction, renovations and implementation of new technologies.
    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the area of telecommunications, data communications, or other closely related field. 1-3 years of experience with effectively training or presenting to large groups.
    • Additional specialized training is required in installing, maintaining, and operating communication systems.
    • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively convey and articulate complex concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical staff.
