Telecommunications/Broadband Outside Plant – Mission Broadband

Job Summary

General

This position will serve several functions all primarily aimed at telecommunications/broadband outside plant experience. To include interfacing with power utilities, telecommunication utilities, customer relations and performing multiple tasks related to telecommunications and broadband deployment for our clients.

Location

Based in Vermont with current focus in northern regions.

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to work directly with power and telecommunication utility companies

• Pole application process

• Joint ride out to review make-ready requirements

• Oversight of fiber to the premise construction to include oversight of contractors

• Inspection of fiber to the premise construction

• Interface with vendors and represent client’s interest as it relates to project outcomes

• Interface with customer

• Update records and create reports
• Flexibility in work assignments and customer requests
• Self-directed, combination of office and remote work
• Travel required
• Team project lead, managing project and tasks to align with scope of work

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Specific industry experience with telecommunications and broadband outside plant

• Specific experience with joint ride outs, construction and inspection of outside plant

• Knowledge of telecommunications and broadband fiber distribution
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of project management practices and principles
• Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs, and telephone systems
• Skill in identifying and resolving client issues and concerns
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand
• Ability to create a team environment and sustain employee morale

Education Requirements
