Key Responsibilities:

The Telecommunications Clerk is responsible for operating the switchboard and public address system and performing clerical duties. Specific duties include:

  • Providing answering and messaging services
  • Providing information kiosk services
  • Monitoring and responding to emergency codes
  • Performing general clerical duties

Rate of Pay:

$19.7729 to $21.2251 per hour

Hours of Work:

CASUAL POSITION: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, Statutory Holidays. Subject to change due to operational requirements. Shifts can include 8 hour and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or equivalent
  • Written and spoken competence in English (B2.1 or Advanced) and spoken competence in French (B1.2 or Intermediate Plus) are required
  • Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in Data Entry
