Job Description

We are seeking a full time Construction Manager to assist in directing day to day construction operations for construction projects. As a Construction Manager, you will support employees as well as contractors while they are engaged in the construction, installation, and activation. The primary role of the construction manager will be to manage pre-construction, material management, actual construction activity, perform daily project walks, reporting, and close out package management

Responsibilities

Manage the close out package process with each employee or contractor upon construction completion. Perform pre-bid walks, pre-construction walks, construction site walks, monitor and ensure schedule performance and quality workmanship of employees and contractors. Review change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the customers interests.

Serve as an information resource by coordinating client’s work, participating in meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, and coordinating project punch list, logistics/material management. Updating the customers online project management tool(s). Review and maintain the company’s document depository system.

Qualifications

• 5 Plus years of directly related experience with broadband construction
• Telecommunications Construction Management and site construction ability experience preferred.
• Must have strong working knowledge of the telecommunications industry, specifically broadband coax, fiber optic, fiber deep, RFOG, and GPON platforms.
• Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Candidate should be willing to travel periodically, however travel will be minimal.
• Hands-on experience working with employees, contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in a telecom setting is a plus
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Project
• Experience with construction project management software programs
