Telecommunications Copper/Fiber Technician for maintenance/Installation

An upbeat, fun, nimble and close-knit company is looking for a Telephone and Data Technician who enjoys using their craft to problem solve and create networks. Must have at least 4 to 5 Years experience in Outside Plant Cabling, Structured Cabling, Copper/Optical/Fiber/Coax Cabling. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Various aspects of your work will be made via computers so proficiency in typing is a must. Candidates are expected to have reliable transportation and will be compensated if required to visit various job sites. Candidates are expected to have most tools necessary to complete telephony troubleshooting, Cat5 troubleshooting / termination, etc…

This job allows for a great amount of autonomy once high workmanship has been observed and a high degree of trust have been gained.

Work Skills:

Have proficient skills with copper cable

Have proficient skills with copper color codes

Have proficient skills with cable pulling

Have proficient skills with terminating and troubleshooting Cat 3 & Cat 5 cable

Testing copper cable on 66 blocks, Cat 3/Cat 5 jacks, and head ends.

Expected to have your own hand tools
