Description:

Serving the community since 1961, one of our large healthcare clients is the leading provider of health services in Wake County. With a mission to improve the health and well-being of our community, they are committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care. They have three acute care hospitals and a physical rehabilitation hospital for a total of 970-beds. They have a team of more than 9,400 employees, 2,000 volunteers, 1,300 affiliated physicians, and more than 300 physicians. They also have three healthplexes with stand-alone, 24/7 emergency departments and a variety of outpatient services throughout the region.

This Telecommunications Engineer will work with a team of 8 others to help support all of the 9,400 employees. They will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting voice system equipment as it pertains to our client. They are primarily a Cisco shop and will be working with VOIP 8841 and 8741s. This engineer should also have experience supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, SpectraLink, and Zebra.

Future projects: They would like to get rid of all Zebra equipment and replace the legacy system up to 150 phones per quarter. There are roughly 600 of them in the org. The engineer will help to improve the processes and help to spot efficiencies that can be made for the company.

This telecommunications specialist will support the 3 main hospitals as well as the 4 out patient facilities within Wake County. They will drive their own vehicle and be reimbursed the IRS regulated 62.5 cents per mile compensation.

On call is required once every 8 weeks. Employees will who are on call are paid an additional $2/hr.
