Telecommunications Engineer

Ka’ala Systems Technology Corporation has an open position for a Telecommunications Engineer/Analyst II supporting the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board located in Washington, D.C.

Resumes must clearly reflect the following qualification requirements:

– 5 years of experience

– 3 years of specialized experience as follows:

• Designing engineering and troubleshooting phone systems
• Coordinating phone system troubleshooting and modification efforts with multiple carriers, vendors, and teams
• Coordinating project planning and tasks with appropriate carriers, vendors and teams
• Familiarity with POTS, Fax Lines, VOIP, and Centrex services
• Familiarity with IPC ShoreTel
• Familiarity with commonly used softphone products
• Familiarity with commonly used web video conferencing products

– Associate’s Degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline

Qualification substitutions:

– Bachelor’s Degree: 4 years of experience, 2 years of specialized experience

– No degree: 8 years of experience, 6 years of specialized experience
