BasqueCCAM (https://basqueccam.com/ ), an association that promotes the generation of an R&D and innovation ecosystem for the promotion of technologies and solutions for CCAM in the Basque Country with local, state and international projection, of which Vicomtech (www.vicomtech.org ) is a Strategic Partner along with two other leading organizations in the sector, is looking for:

A junior engineer who will help to define the technical specifications of the projects and test plans. You will perform the design and definition of the communications architecture of CCAM systems, considering functional and non-functional requirements, and focusing on the specific needs of vehicular connectivity and infrastructure through the different technological alternatives that are being implemented and deployed for short (C-ITS) and long distance (4G/5G).

You will develop, verify and validate solutions, performing tests, debugging and verification of CCAM systems. You will run trials, demonstrations and pilots integrating solutions from partners and different ecosystem players.

Applicants must have:

• Education: Degree in Engineering preferably in Telecommunications, Industrial, Electronics or similar.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of solutions.
• Languages: Spanish and English advanced level.

Specific Requirements

We value candidates with:

• Knowledge in telecommunication technologies related to CCAM, such as cellular mobile networks, positioning systems (GPS, GNSS), short range vehicular communication systems (V2X), vehicle control and automation systems, etc.
• Knowledge of protocols and standards specific to mobile networks, such as IEEE 802.11p, ETSI ITS-G5, SAE J2735, TCP/IP or MQTT.
• Experience in technologies associated with mobile networks (4G,5G NSA/SA) and their standards/releases from the point of view of radio and/or core access.
• Experience in development and implementation of equipment, applications or services for short range vehicular communications (C-ITS / C-V2X).
• Experience in the application of telecommunication technologies in the field of mobility e.g. communication interfaces with traffic control centers.
