Telecommunications Engineer (Government)

AT&T has an opening for a Telecommunications Engineer to support the Defense & National Security Public Sector.

The job duties of the Telecommunications Engineer are as follows:

• Research, design, develop, and test PBX, VoIP, and unified communications components and systems.
• Design circuits and components for use in PBX, VoIP, and unified communications and collaboration systems.
• Install, set-up, rearrange, or remove switching, distribution, routing, and dialing equipment.
• Service or repair telephone, cable television, Internet, and other communications equipment.
• May install communications equipment or communications wiring in buildings.
• Lead design reviews and implementation of emerging capabilities.
• Provide the customer with solution recommendations that meet interoperability and end-user requirements.
• Research and recommend modernized Voice capabilities and industry best practices.
• Document and submit monthly status reports, as well as customer-facing knowledge transfer documentation and technical write-ups.

Required Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of training; certifications; work and/or military experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of training; certifications; work and/or military experience.
