Telecommunications Engineer II

Primary Location – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Telecommunications Engineer II for our premier client in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a contract position.

Education and Experience »

• Experience working with customers and other team members to identify innovative API solutions.
• Experience with RESTful API and HTTP Requests.
• Experience in digital signage and advanced working knowledge of any of the following: Four Winds Interactive, Scala, BrightSign or other digital signage, wayfinding, or kiosk software a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

• Familiarity with agile software development.
• Ability to produce and extend solutions, technical specifications and related documentation.
• Ability to learn new skills as required to stay up to date on equipment and programming functions, i.e. Crestron, 7th Sense, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on Audio/Visual systems, including 7th Sense Delta Media Server and Barco UHD Projectors, at The Universal Sphere attraction. Inspections include testing, cleaning, replacement, verification and/or calibration of applicable control circuits/systems.
• Responsible for analysis and diagnosis of systems and components operational reliability, safety and serviceability of Audio/Visual equipment, projection equipment and network equipment through improved diagnostics and engineering approved software and hardware revisions. This entails logical extensive troubleshooting, referencing of technical drawings/manuals and specifications.
• Log inspections, corrective actions and/or repairs made while listing parts required to implement the repairs.
• Performs modification to Audio/Visual equipment as directed by management; performs diagnostics and repairs to all Audio/Visual equipment as assigned.
• Able to provide basic Audio/Visual training and develops training and troubleshooting documentation.
• Oversee work with vendors on system maintenance and upgrades.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments, staff members, outside agencies and vendors. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of the organization.
• Receives and responds to tickets and e-mails regarding digital signage software/hardware problems.
• Build and deploy integrated digital content, graphics, animation, photography, illustrations, etc., based on graphics provided by the design team for use within digital displays located throughout our corporate campus.
• Create dynamic and engaging video content for large, high-profile multi-screen and LED video walls.
• Partners with the Content Team to ensure the technical distribution of digital signage content including identifying and implementing schedules (daily, weekly, quarterly, etc.) for maximum impact.
