Offnet Transport Engineering
JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for securing offnet capacity in support of customer and/or internal infrastructure requirements. This typically includes loops via LECs and CAPs. Duties will include soliciting vendors for availability and pricing and choosing the best match to the customer requirement; addressing Access Unification 1g and 10g inquiries in support of the ongoing savings migration work; working VRD and WFM fall-out on wave, TDM, and Switched Ethernet orders; and assisting with special projects as necessary 5-7 years of telecom experience preferred in Planning or Provisioning role; proficient knowledge of Excel a must;
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
The candidate should be proficient in Excel, should be organized, and be able to multitask. He/she should be an out-of-the-box thinker who doesn’t stop trying to find solutions.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Prefer candidate to have previous ASR processing experience; working knowledge of order flow, F&E, BGW, and Cameo. Must have solid understanding of telecom hierarchy and what it takes to put a circuit (ds0-100g) together
