Our client in the telecommunications industry is looking for a telecommunication engineer. This candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing telecommunication networks, systems and equipment. This is a contract position, and the client prefers local candidates to work a hybrid schedule. The pay rate for this position ranges from $34-$38/hr (flexible based on experience).
Responsibilities
- Analyzes existing networks and equipment and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Develops solutions that meet business requirements
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Activations with customers to make sure they are happy, check bgp/ocs or other protocols and troubleshoot issues with clients
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with BGP, OCS, Subnet, Solid Networking, and SD-WAN knowledge
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- NSE 4 (Fortinet Certification) and CCNP preferred

Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour
