Telecommunications Engineering Manager

ADB is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee multiple utility/fiber installation projects from kickoff to close out. This position will partner closely with OSP Construction Management, Engineering, Splicing and Wireless teams to ensure successful completion of fiber builds in multiple markets nationwide. The ideal candidate will have experience in major telecom fiber builds, skilled in project tracking and scheduling, understands OSP Engineering practices, is customer centric, has a strong belief in the safety and well-being of team members, as well as a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mid-level project management leader with the ability to make challenging business decisions, gain a people following, participate in and drive the company culture, hold others accountable, and manage the outcomes of results on entry level and somewhat complex projects
• Manages Projects/Programs and/or people (including but not limited to, Project Coordinators, Project Assistants, QA/QC, overseeing performance management, time management, promotions, discipline actions, hiring, etc.)
• Oversees the management of external sub-contractors on projects; includes budgets, performance management, production standards, etc
• Prepares for and facilitates project status meetings with external customers and internal leadership teams on the portfolio of active projects
• Responsible for ensuring all team members and sub-contractors are in alignment to achieve customer project goals and outcomes
• Collaborates with other Sr. leaders to develop and implement solutions based on company standards and processes which establish consistency across all markets, reduces risk, and promotes efficiencies in support of the organization’s and customer’s goals and objectives
• Responsible for customer relationship management on programs and promoting the ADB Mission and Values
• Responsible for project metrics including but not limited to: schedules, production metrics, kpi’s, data integrity, etc.
• Participates and presents in strategic planning meetings, manages a group scorecard, ensures goals are met by following the I404 action planning process and having complete buy-in to the ADB Way
• Direct the creation of project specifications, testing, and technical documentation with multiple team member groups
• Responsible for the culture and team unity of project teams
• Responsible for the forecasting, JCR reviews, and overall financial results of the projects under your management with a heavy emphasis on Invoicing
• Oversees the distribution of contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions including any accepted alterations or addendums within the documents
• Performs other position duties as assigned by leadership

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 5+ Years in a Project Management Role required
• Ability to review and understand underground construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of public safety, traffic control, and municipality regulation requirements
• Engineering bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
