Currently, we are seeking like-minded motivated individual for this position at our HQ in San Marcos, Tx. This position will require 75% travel to jobsites in central Texas, and 25% travel to remote markets.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our Safety Director to develop and implement safety programs and procedures
- Review potential subcontractors safety policies, procedures, and safety performance
- Ensure the Safety Plan is understood and implemented by all Project Managers and subcontractors
- Conduct accident investigations and incident reports as needed
- Develop and conduct employee safety and health training programs
- Conduct detailed site safety inspections
- Write detailed injury/illness reports
- Implement, interact, and maintain active communication processes with Operations management
- Conduct on-site Safety Observation Reports to look for possible hazardous and deficient situations, implement solutions, and follow up with corrective action to employees as needed
- Conduct random site visits for the purpose of training crews and promoting Safety
- Issue all training certificates for all Instructor Lead Safety training classes
- Ensure implementation and tracking of in-house safety programs
- Maintain OSHA logs
Qualifications:
- 2 + years of experience as a Safety Manager
- 7+ years’ experience in Telecom industry
- Able to produce reports and developing relevant policies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Self-motivated
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
