Telecommunications Helper

Description:

Our customer is looking for entry level candidates that have a telecom, utility, or construction background, or individuals that want to get into the telecom industry and are good at working with tools, comfortable working out in the field, and learning the wireless industry.

They will be a part of a team that is helping with the construction of small cell sites supporting Verizon, AT&T and Dish Network. They will be working with a lead, a foreman, a master electrician, and or construction manager on various sights through out the Baltimore/Washington market.

They will be out in the field digging trenches, installing conduit, pulling cables, low volt, power, and fiber to the pole. They will also have the opportunity to install the cabinets, ice bridges, and antennas (pole and roof top).

On days where there is ice storms, heavy snow or wind and it is unsafe to work outside they will be able to work in the warehouse doing cabinet installations.

Top Skills Details:

1) Less than 1 year of field experience – wants to gain experience in the telecommunications field, mechanically inclined

2) Hard working, great attitude, communication skills, and willingness to learn the telecommunications industry

3) Comfortable working outdoors in cold and warm temperatures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and that x factor! wanting to grow a career and go above and beyond in performance and asking questions that will help you grow in the field.
• Telecom background is a plus
• OSP (outside plant) experience is a plus
• Need to be comfortable operating a company vehicle

Work Environment

This is a fast paced work environment with one of the top growing turn key turf venders in the market. They support the major wireless carriers, including DISH Network, Verizon, and AT&T.

The helper will be working on a team and be paired with the small cell team, electrical team, civil team, and telecom teams. They will be working out in the field and in the warehouse.
