Job Description:
- Install new/repair/replace/maintain aerial and underground cable systems.
- Performs all duties according to Safe Work Practices and Procedures using required safety equipment.
- Maintain good employee morale, communication and teamwork.
- Interact with customers, public and general contractors in a professional manner.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Aerial construction (pole change-out’s, setting anchors, new build and maintenance) is an asset.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather, along with additional hours as needed (including weekends).
- Participate in on call rotations for emergency call out work.
- Must be able to work at heights
- Ability to work and focus on projects in a fast paced environment.
The individual should be able to, if required, travel out of town, have a clean Driver’s Abstract, valid BC driver’s license (minimum class 5 with Air Endorsement, preference will be given to Class 3 and reliable transportation. A Criminal Record Clearance will be required.
