Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to:

  • Working with RF and outside plants
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools
  • System maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty cables, equipment, and power supplies
  • Safely operate and maintain company assigned vehicles
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to adapt, maintain concentration, and mental awareness in a changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Engage in all training requirements required by the Company
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators and outlined targets as issued by the Company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication coupled with excellent customer service skills
  • Additional duties and/or responsibilities will be assigned as required

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence
  • Driver’s abstract clear of serious offences under the Highway Traffic Act
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted
  • Working at various heights and ladder safety
  • Highest commitment to safety; ensuring safe work practice and procedures are followed
  • Knowledge of computer, phones, tablets for working productivity and efficiency
  • Knowledge of Outside Cable Plants would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor working environment: ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Working at heights
  • Movements can include crouching, lifting, bending, walking, climbing, sitting, standing, kneeling, etc.

Shift Information: Monday to Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM; occasional shifts outside normal working hours may be required.

Affiliation: Non-Union

Work Location: Willing to travel within the Greater Toronto Area

Preferred Experience/ Training and Certifications:

  • Working at Heights Training
  • Book 7 Traffic Control Training
  • First Aid/CPR Training
  • Telecommunications: 1 year experience
  • RF Cable Tech: 1 year experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay
