Telecommunications Manager- ND

EnerStar Solutions is proud to be chosen by SpaceX as an engaged integrator providing Starlink technology to the Energy Sector in North America. Enerstar requires a communications branch manager to help deploy and maintain this breakthrough technology. Working closely with our CTO and other divisional leaders the chosen candidate will coordinate and implement SpaceX satellite technology, next generation LTE technology, camera systems and networking equipment into the Bakken region.

Role:

• Technical Lead and daily operation.
• Customer support for technical issues with satellite, internet, cameras, and other communications equipment.
• Assist in new business development; Interface with other EnerStar management in Power Gen, Housing, Trucking, Head Office.
• Interface with Engineering group for R&D, site demonstrations, new technology deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Communications Group in the NW region.
• Interact with the Communications Group in TX, OK, PA, and NM as needed.
• Use SW tools to keep track of team hours, vacations, and inventory.
• Train and assist technicians with installation, testing and troubleshooting issues.
• Work with vendors to keep equipment maintained up to date and in good repair.
• Ability to work in the field as needed.
• Responsibility to support and maintain and stock Communications equipment and consumables.
• Deploy and test new LTE, Satellite, Remote monitor solutions and technology.
• Keep upper management informed of Communications Group activities.

• Ability to lead and support a group of technicians.
• Ability to deal with customer support issues in real time.
• Constantly display professional demeanor.
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
• Technical skills in telecom, network design, cable or similar.
• Ability to make and rig up RJ-45, coaxial, LMR240, LMR400 cables and ends.
• Ability to learn to configure, deploy and support network equipment for internet access (ex: routers, switches, Access Points).
• Ability to configure, deploy and support PTZ network camera systems.
• Ability to repair electronics equipment is an asset.
• Ability to use Signal Finder to optimize antenna positioning for optimal signal strength.

Experience:

• 5+ years oilfield experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in some technical capacity
  • 2+ years overseeing direct reports
