JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the preparation and submittal of various entitlement applications, permits and agreements to allow installation of communications facilities on poles, fiber and other infrastructure.
  • Requires knowledge of municipal processes, codes and ordinances, as well as frequent contact and communication with various municipalities and county building departments.
  • Scheduling of inspections, requesting site documentation, requesting insurance documentation, organizing permitting and inspection schedules

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and submit zoning and permitting applications. Monitor progress of municipal applications and facilitate jurisdictional request for additional information.
  • Work with FSA to submit all requested and required documents for permitting and inspection
  • Provide timely system updates and communicate effectively with all customers, both internal and external as well as with building departments in various counties
  • Serve as entitlement lead during customer meetings, as needed. Ability to comprehend and provide updates on latest permitting requests and statuses
  • Serves as liaison between to internal teams to obtain, administer and ensure compliance with general conditions of approvals at permit and construction stages of the project, meeting project timelines
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings to coordinate with supervisors to ensure that permit submittal packages meet local and statewide municipal requirements and are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with internal partners to ensure building permits are properly closed out at the completion of construction as well as submitted in the early stages
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, including, but not limited to Code Enforcement Staff, Building Inspectors, Members of City Councils, Planning & Zoning Staffs

EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in permit application process preferred
  • Potential travel to municipalities, site locations for inspections may be required. Travel expenses are covered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
