The Telecom Power Field Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality service and evaluating customer’s requests in all customer technical spaces, including, but not limited to data centers, mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, and designated enterprise spaces. The Field Engineer is required to take excellent care of our customers, build relationships, question things and take action, work hard, work smart, and enjoy the experience.

What You’ll Do:

· Represent the company the company professionally and provide innovative/best in class power solutions.

· Travel to and from customer locations.

· Perform site surveys based on customer project requirements.

· Interact with customer to achieve optimum equipment layouts.

· Document site survey results using company processes.

· Build bill of materials required to implement customer projects.

· Update Central Office plan drawings and records as required.

· Provide customers with engineering specifications, materials lists and detailed drawings.

· Assist and support installation as required during the implementation phase.

· Provide equipment technical and customer requirement support as required to support installation teams.

· Receive and analyze input document from customer, paying close attention to critical dates and detailed information supplied.

· Create a presence and maintain a continuing dialog with the customer in order to proactively plan/recommend future projects.

· Recommend changes to standard material libraries to ensure that the appropriate supplies are being provided.

· Assist in updating procedures as required to meet customer or equipment requirements.

· Assist field installation groups in resolving technical issues.

· Attend customer held meetings, as needed.

· Perform other duties as requested by Manager

What You’ve Done or Skills You Possess:

· High school diploma or equivalent, Technical degree strongly preferred

· Minimum of two years of industry related experience required

  • 2-3 years engineering related experience a plus.

· Extensive knowledge of various telecom power systems.

· Extensive knowledge of power requirements for Verizon, Verizon Wireless, Sprint/Nextel, AT&T, and various other telecommunications companies.

· Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook email. Auto CAD experience a plus.

· Critical thinking and problem solving.

· Handle confidential/ sensitive information.

· Exhibit good judgment.

· Clean driving record.

· Demonstrate proficient use of IOS and/or Android applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour
