About you
You are a talented product marketer with a proven track record of promoting B2B software to the telecommunications industry. Across a number of different roles you will have developed a thorough knowledge of the telecommunications industry eco-system and have a thorough understanding of the key business drivers across that industry.

You have your finger firmly on the pulse of what’s happening in telecommunications and product marketing. You have the confidence and energy to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and forge ahead with producing excellent messaging and compelling content
About the Position
Targeting telecommunications carriers that use Salesforce and their Managed Service Provider network globally, you’ll be working across teams to ensure we understand our ideal customer profile in-depth and can connect with them efficiently. As Product Marketing leader for Telco you will work closely with the product management team, sales and marketing/business development. The outputs will cover strategic planning through to tactical delivery of messaging and content, as well as presentations to prospects and partners.
Your Responsibilities
- As the key bridge from marketing to R&D and product management, create and manage the execution of the product marketing plan, focusing on the development of rollout of new releases and products to the full set of internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop messaging frameworks and content assets that position CloudSense competitively in the market.
- Collect and assemble competitive intelligence that can be used by our business development and sales teams in order to differentiate CloudSense more clearly to prospects.
- Work closely with the CMO and other members of the marketing team to develop demand generation campaigns that will penetrate our target accounts. In addition, shape the stories and messages that will resonate with influencers (including media and analysts).
- Drive planning for product/release launches and act as a spokesperson for these products.
- Support the business development representatives by coaching them on messaging and attending first meeting calls with prospects.
- Work closely with Sales and Alliances to define an effective enablement strategy then drive production of the required marketing assets.
- Work with Sales to support messaging on key proposals/strategic deals. Attend and present sales meetings with key prospects for strategic deals to provide deeper industry perspective.
Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experienced professional with proven experience in B2B marketing/sales within the telco industry.
- This role requires you to be strongly technical with the proven ability to understand and communicate at that technical level, so software sector experience is beneficial.
- You prefer working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring the product to life.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a product/proposition marketing role.
- Outstanding numerical and analytical skills, ability to extract and use relevant data as the foundation for robust fact-based strategy and planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- SaaS+ marketing experience is desired but not essential.
- Highly driven self-starter, motivated.
- High creativity and personal productivity with superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at working under pressure.
- Confident communicator and presenter.
- Integrated marketing experience across a wide range of offline/online channels.
Success Factors
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven success leading and implementing product marketing strategies including planning, development, and execution through the go-to-market teams
- Expertise in marketing telco solutions, preferably cloud-native
- Experience launching new technology products to reinvent markets. Creative in bringing forward innovative ideas and ability to analyze data and market research.
- Proven ability to engage, energize and enable large, cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having the total picture, and handle risk
- Proven ability to use data-driven insights to drive decisions that lead to superior customer experiences
- Hands-on ability to build a range of marketing and sales assets
